Rowan Patterson - business development director

Rowan has been with UWG since 1994 and has over 35 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, having executed a number of senior roles at companies such as Weatherford UK Ltd, VetcoGray Ltd and Enterprise Oil.  As business development director he promotes the international profile of UWG, secures opportunities in accordance with the business development plan for UWG Conductor Systems and acts as adviser to the company's business and operational staff.

Gary Maitland - director of operations

As director of operations for UWG, Gary heads up the operations and project engineering departments and takes responsibility for all projects as soon as they become active. Gary has worked 30 years in the oil and gas industry, gaining extensive experience in a variety of roles at locations worldwide, with companies that include Dril-Quip, Salvesen and Lynes Petro Tech.

Stewart Maxwell - regional manager, Far East

Based at our Kuala Lumpur office, Stewart promotes UWG's capabilities within the Asia Pacific region, overseeing projects and finding opportunities for the Acteon group as a whole. Stewart has 18 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, having previously worked for Drexel and WS Atkins, before moving to UWG in 1996. He holds a BEng in mechanical engineering from the University of Aberdeen.

Rick Moralee - sales manager, conductor systems

Rick is responsible for the sales and business development of UWG's conductor products and services, including templates, tiebacks, subsea manifolds, subsea structures, pipeline services, centralisers, equipment sales and rental. Rick's 17 years' experience in the oil and gas industry  has included an initial stint providing structural engineering for Southern North Sea platform modifications. Since then Rick has gained a wealth of experience in areas such as process design, subsea controls and subsea systems designs, with clients such as Amoco, Shell, BP and ConocoPhillips. Rick studied in Norwich where he qualified as a civil structural engineer.

Steve Gabbitus - quality systems manager

Steve Gabbitus has over 20 years' experience in quality systems management. His first task at UWG was to update the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure its compliance with the relevant standards and retention of ISO 9001:2000 registration. He now manages all aspects of QHSE management. Before joining UWG Steve worked for a number of companies, including Aker Kvaerner Oil and Gas Services Ltd and Weatherford, in various project management and QHSE positions.
